Our flock of heritage breed chickens are out to pasture, following our herd of cattle. They are moved around in an old stock trailer to take advantage of fresh pasture and cow pies. They are fed raw milk from our cows and Organic laying feed to supplement what they get at pasture.
Green Eggs started when our son Larry decided that he wanted to sell his extra eggs from our home flock to his friends at his home school nature program. I asked what he wanted to name his new business and Larry said, "Green Eggs and Ham". His favorite eggs are the ones that are green from the Americauna hens. I told him that we will need to wait for the Ham part, but we can still call it Green Eggs and he agreed.
